Ride Details

Presented by the Cincinnati Cycle Club, the 4th annual Licking Valley Century is on June 22, 2024.  The ride will begin in Campbell County, KY and travel through Pendleton, Bracken, and Robertson counties depending on your route choice.  Enjoy the beauty and challenge of riding the ridge tops and valleys of Northern Kentucky.

Kentucky Cycling Challenge

The Licking Valley Century is an anchor ride for the Kentucky Cycling Challenge, along with the Horsey Hundred and the Redbud Ride.  5 rides across Kentucky come together for this rewarding challenge series.  Learn more here.

LVC Style Challenge

Ride with coordinating kits or stand-out with an outrageous costume or bike decoration. Trophies and merch will be awarded post-ride for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Pose by yourself or with your team at the onsite Challenge booth.

KOM/QOM Challenge

The Licking Valley Century ride includes a King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain Challenge consisting of two (2) timed segments on the LVC Century route. There are six age groups for men and women; twelve categories total.  Each category’s winner will receive a prize.

Strava will be used to record and evaluate results.  No extra registration or fee is required.  Registered riders that wish to participate must have a Strava account (free) and upload their ride by 2:30pm EDT to be scored and included in the KOM/QOM Challenge.

Post-ride, make sure you bring your Garmin or other GPS and/or distance gauging device with proof of your century or metric completion to the Kentucky Challenge tent to get credit towards the challenge.

Rules of the Challenge

Age group awards will be presented at 3:00pm EDT on June 22.

The age groups are: under 25, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65+ based on the rider’s age the day of the event. Each age group will have two winners, one for the men’s and one for the women’s.

Segment 1: CruiseCreekLVC – at mile 24, 1.2 miles, 251 ft climb, 4.2% avg grade

Segment 2: Passo17LVC – at Mile 34.5, 1.3 miles, 336 ft climb, 4.6% avg grade
