Helmets are required at this event and must be worn at all times while on the bike. They need to be in good working order and meet current ANSI helmet codes.
Riders also must carry tools for changing tires, extra inner tubes, and a tire pump. Riders are expected to change their own flats; however, mechanical support is available for more complex issues.

Is there any equipment that is banned?

Yes. Aero bars are not allowed for this event. If there is any other specific equipment you have questions about, please email us at Lickingvalleycentury@gmail.com.

Are electric bikes allowed?

Yes, electric bikes are permitted, but the rider will not be eligible for KOM / QOM.

When can I purchase a LVC 2024 Jersey?

We have an amazing design for this year’s jersey that you can see on our Merch page. It can be purchased through bikereg.com on the same page used to register for the event. The jersey will be available through April 22, 2024.

Is it possible to cancel my participation?

Once registered, refunds are not available. However, you can easily transfer your registration to another rider at no cost via BikeReg if something comes up that prevents you from participating in 2024.

About the Rides and Routes

What types of roads make up the route?

This ride is mostly along smooth residential and rural back roads with minimal traffic. Northern Kentucky is known for beautiful vistas, which come with fun and challenging hills!  Depending on the route there may be major road crossings, with posted police officers to support safety.   Riders must obey all rules of the road and posted road signs.

Is there any possibility that the routes would change?

In the event of unforeseen issues with weather, road construction or permitting requirements, routes are subject to change. We recommend participants download the final routes the week preceding the event.

I would like to switch the distance of the ride I signed up for, can I change my registration?

Yes!  Please email us at Lickingvalleycentury@gmail.com and we will update your registration.
